It's heartbreaking what they are being forced to go through, especially when we know everything they need right now is sitting in dozens of trucks being stopped from entering Gaza by the ever rotten israelis, with the evil intent of depriving Gazans of the tiniest morsel of comfort.
It is past time to put a stop to Israel and its disgusting IOF and its cancerous politicians as well as the interlopers who arrive there for the free housing and healthcare while they attack at will Palestinians of the West Bank. There us nothing defensible about israelis, they live on stolen land where they even kill the flora because? Because they can, if they even used the olives one could understand their theft but to kill the trees that are thousands of years old to spite Palestinians -- that shows how truly mentally sick they are.
My young journalist friend sent video of her tent being flooded and how they scrambled to build up a sand barrier but I don't think it did much good.
This should not still be happening, what good are we donating when nothing is getting in except things that are of no nutritional value --from israeli spite.
You're so right Davina, and yes it is utterly heartbreaking. They are so spiteful and vicious, and do all these things out of monstrous spitefulness. Sorry about your friend, and all of the Palestinians in Gaza. It is a deep shame and blot on humanity :(
well said Ms. Quazi, this whole genocide and carnage is a stain on our collective conscience as people. What the people of Gaza and Palestine are enduring and have gone through is just heartbreaking and something no person should ever have to endure in my view.
for sure. I think it is the moral litmus test of our time, and sadly, I feel that as a world, we are failing that test knowing this carnage, torture and denial of rights is continuing
And yet, through it all, the students still studied by candlelight and sat their exams, online, and got result between 93.4% and as high as 99.5% Proving how intelligent they are. One young boy got marks in the ninety percent mark but was killed before he found out.
The world would be a much better place with them sharing their wisdom.
You're so right, hence why it makes my blood boil when the zio-thieves try to portray them as anything other - they're made of stuff most people their age in the West could never begin to imagine. I worked with some of the Chevening scholars coming from Gaza, now in the UK - they're on a different level; as are the people I speak to in Gaza every day from Surgeons to Midwives to Teachers to Designers - whatever their craft, they're several cuts above, in the way they talk, communicate, behave, write. Some of those scholars studied for exams and sat interview through bombs falling outside their windows and starvation, walking miles through rubble for an internet connection to send an application and so on. Will be writing a piece on this very soon.
Well said Davina. It's truly horrible to see that the rains were causing flooding of makeshift shelters in tents, and aid needed to help the suffering population isn't even fully being allowed in. The "Ceasefire" is a bloodstained disgraceful sham, and still the killing continues, the denial of rights and food continues, and now rains have set in, allowing people not even a moment's peace.
I send her what money I can but it's always sent $US and that carves a lot out of my AUD$ then there is the fee. The banks there are non-existant at present, so a direct transfer won't work. Yet she is so happy with what I do send and includes me in her prayers because I had a nasty virus. I know she shares the food she gets from what I send, That's a Palestinian for you: totally selfless.
Well said Davina, and it's truly beautiful that you send what you can to help her and the people in Palestine in need, that is truly generous and noble of you. Yes, it's such a shame that there's that fee that's taken and then there isn't really a viable bank to send the funds to, but that's so kind of her to include you in her prayers, I hope you are doing better now.
I too, try and send what I can to help those in need there, and I know it's not nearly enough, but people are genuinely grateful and appreciate the help. Selflessness is one of their many wonderful qualities, I would say, along with resourcefulness, steadfastness, courage, dignity and determination, among many others.
So good to know you do what you can to help, sometimes it feels bad that I can't send as much as I would like to, but my lovely young lady is so appreciative of what I can send - it is humbling. To be added in her prayers when she is living under such dreadful conditions just feels such an honour.
I agree, I feel bad too that I can't send as much as I would like, but people's gratitude for what they receive is truly inspiring and humbling, as you said. Their courage and dignity in the face of the overwhelming horror they have endured, and continue to, is truly amazing and inspiring. I think it's a tremendous honor to be included in her prayers in spite of everything she is suffering through, as you said.
Avigail Arbabanel has unique insight into the evil mindset of most Israelis as she is a psychotherapist and former Israeli who, I am certain, renounced her Israeli citizenship. She is a staunch supporter of Palestinian rights. Well worth subscribing to her Substack.

Good to know, Sobia, that you having an article on how intelligent Palestinians are. I look forward to reading it, I know it will be enlightening.

100% they are so selfless. Thank you to everyone who donates to the Palestinians and offers them solace.
