A Licence to Kill, Maim and Rape: Right to “return”, “Birthright” Trips and Vacationing for Murder

The “Rights” of the Thief

There are many “rights” inscribed into “Israeli” legislation, “rights” that have sprung up in the same way “Israel” has – with the belligerent immaturity that is truly indicative of an imperialist creation that was the product of shadowy deals and duplicitous double crossings.

It is fitting therefore, that a “state” created from a hotbed of lies and duplicity, should “evolve” to be what it is today. It started with terrorism, it proceeded through Nakba’s – and it now wishes to end by erasing every last Palestinian.

The situation in Gaza at this point, is one where, sadly, if the borders were opened, wrong though it is for the indigenous population to be expelled from their homeland – the land that they have an inextricable bond with, no matter how ravaged and depleted by “Israel’s” scorched earth military campaign – they would leave. And yet “Israel” refuses to open the borders – because it prefers to kill as many Palestinians as possible.

The height of cruelty, depravity and sadism, masked behind the label of “a homeland” – with its connotations of domesticity and security - is a consistent feature of “Israel’s” distortion, inversion and perversion of language.

The words “peace”, “friends” and “defence” that recur throughout their rhetoric and disingenuous slogans can instead be read as “war”, “enemies” and “attack”. The Orwellian twisting of language to throw a smokescreen over everything, cloud reality and disseminate propaganda is by now becoming well-known. They are famous for being cunning liars.

I didn’t want a picture of a “birthright trip” - so I decided to use a photo of some Palestinians children behind the barbed wire.

Birthright Trips and Radicalization

The days of masquerading as a benign entity and homeland for the dispossessed and exiled, are long over; the Jewish “birth right” trips to “Israel” have been well documented by those that choose to be honest about their experience, and are not impressionable enough to be indoctrinated into a cult like collective “in-group” masquerading as chosen ones, as being disturbing on a number of levels.

According to my honest Jewish friends who were repulsed by the experience, it is a typical European-style teenage beach holiday in some ways, but replete with emotional manipulation, coercion and indoctrination about the inferiority of Muslims and Palestinians, the duty to produce babies and the compulsion to enter the killing army of the “IDF”.

The overt sexualization - machismo flexing of the men, sexual flaunting of the women – is all a part of this heady blend of Mediterranean beachscape, ancient scriptural based injunctions to reproduce and populate the “promised land” and ingrained yet irrational teaching that there is some ancient pulse shared with the land; all tied in with the smell of power.

You own this land.

A potent cocktail for impressionable teenagers but a deeply questionable experience for a discerning and strong minded young person, whose powers of intellectual discrimination are stronger than their need to belong and the youthful tendency for hormones and lack of logic to dominate.

Trips like this during a formative time, are a dangerous – and therefore deliberately manipulative - step in the process of radicalization. Being shown around by fully kitted out young men and attractive women toting guns, creates a veneer of superficial, if somewhat seedy, glamour, that together with the “deeper” identity related claims, is ripe for clouding and distorting a persons thinking.

“Birth right” trips – tied up with the supposedly inalienable right of a Jewish person to “return” home, all while Palestinians kicked out of the actual homes they have resided in for generations, are not allowed to return – are ripe for indoctrination.

They are vacations that instil in young white European and American people who have no actual, concrete ties to this land, the notion that they belong there, they own the place – and they have the right to kick out anybody who lives there.

This supposed “right” is of course protected by the imperial powers of the Western world, acting in the shadow of their own holocaust guilt, and seeking absolution on the world stage – by throwing Palestinians under the bus.

Colonize, dominate, violently usurp – and then appropriate, claim and fetishize the native identity, all whilst demonizing the self-same natives as being the savages; the classic pattern of colonizers.

Vacationing for Murder and a Licence to Kill

For the past 20 years the media has been full of claims about young Muslim people being indoctrinated and cries for Mosques to be policed. Meanwhile, young Jewish people are introduced to a land that they have no ancestral ties to (the made up ones from 3000 years ago count about as much as a four year olds claims of a tooth fairy), shown around by young people in military gear, purporting to be “defending” their territory and being told that the local Palestinians or neighbouring Jordanians or Syrians, are enemies, and that they do not belong in the Middle East.

Barbed wire fences, military checkpoints, the plethora of symbols that suggest perpetual war; the air of hostility and the whiff of arrogance, the absolute stench of entitlement – would be enough to repel any right thinking person.

All this is nothing more than a process that sets up young people, weak of mind and morality, to become the monsters that we are seeing today, brutally killing Palestinians because they see them as “subhuman” and themselves as superior beings: this is the meaning of Jewish Supremacy, and its connection with “Israel” as a settler colonial state with a full-fledged apartheid system is very clear.

In recent months, the phenomenon of “Israelis” vacationing and partying loudly and obnoxiously has been noted sardonically and often angrily by locals in a number of countries that are popular holiday resorts for them, from Cyprus to Goa, from Spain to Greece and from Italy to Thailand.

The hardworking “IDF” are free to traverse borders and have some fun – to “play hard” after their work of slaughtering civilians; in the meantime, the Palestinians are locked into a killing cage and collectively “punished” with bombs, killer AI machines, white phosphorus and a whole arsenal of internationally banned weaponry.

They have gone from vacationing for murder, to vacationing from murder; from going on indoctrination and radicalization trips in order to seal their supposed connection and undisputable right to a piece of land in the Middle East that they are alien to; to taking “breaks” from killing men, women and children.

The licence to this land – is a licence to kill. Because tied up with the claims that this is an ancestral inheritance, an innate right that exists at a primal level – i.e. one that cannot be logically questioned or disputed, they just “feel it” – is the “right” or injunction - to “protect” the land and their “birth right”.

And we know what the words “protect” means in the “Israeli” lexicon, we know what dark deeds it shelters, indeed what lies it protects, ironically; the “rights” that they speak of, that they instil with such absolute conviction, whilst nurturing the fateful seed of supremacist radicalization, whose dark underbelly is replete with hate for anybody who is a threat to them, and most of all for the people that they have usurped and now want to expunge and exterminate; the people whom they would rather trap in a killing cage and rain bombs and white phosphorus down upon, than to show some element of the shadow of mercy and allow them to leave the land that is theirs; the people that they have been taught to hate from the cradle to the grave: the true Semites, the Palestinians.
