I am so impressed by your work. In this article alone you touched many themes that I have been writing about for years that center around social justice and global inclusiveness. I can’t thank you enough for writing this. Peace to you always in all ways, G
“The people are not stupid, and it is a profound insult to our intelligence to suggest that manipulation of online information and algorithms should be enough [to] twist the facts and make us accept genocide through the widespread utilization of what is essentially Hasbara.”
It is a bizarre and psychotic notion for a group of savages to think, that the people of the world would willingly surrender their humanity, their sovereignty, and their moral compass, i.e. accept total enslavement, so that we could bow to them in deification as “masters of the universe”. This is just another failed attempt by mentally deranged human beings at playing god.
Thankfully, the collective human mind has developed far beyond such nonsense. We know now that we can no longer afford to think in such egocentric terms. The bulk of our global family will continue its work of surmounting this long enduring predatory phase of human history. We stand as witness to this as millions of us continue protesting across the globe. We will continue to cultivate, “the realization that living beings depend on each other for the very foundation of their lives.” As history adamantly attest, repeating imperial disaster after imperial disaster, the idea of a superior political state is a dangerous delusion that threatens the existence of us all. We are human family now and protecting and nurturing the lives of those who are being marginalized, including Palestinian lives is everyone’s responsibility.
Thank you Guy, for your wonderful words and positive feedback. You are right, the problem of ego in a collective sense is what results in wars, violence, notions of superiority and hierarchical thinking. I hope that the trends of decentralisation in various areas - like substack for example, and also currency, are signs of shared, collective ways of doing things. I find it dismaying that after all these years of being on this earth, something like this can be happening in full view.
It is difficult when that system runs everything. The lack of truly co-ordinated efforts to combat it is the problem. I think sufficient numbers of people are aware - it's about how to come together in a more strategic way to combat it. Because of the more visible polarisation now in light of what is happening in full view in the Middle East, I think people can identify this enemy more clearly, and thus strategies to try to overcome it. that is what I am hoping for, and acting towards.
I think there is a general lack of critical thinking that has got even more pronounced these days, hiding beneath a superficial veneer of "diversity". People are less conventional in their self expression but more conformist and homogeneous in their thinking. Most people also don't have naturally questioning minds and want to stay safe within the comfortable embrace of majority opinion, the "in-group". I'm heartened by the people I do meet who question things - but agreed, the tendency to want to just side with power is often dismaying.
Thanks for another great piece. Signed,
Another putative master of the universe.
Thanks Jay! I think you're too humble and humanitarian to ever be that arrogant!
🙏You made my day!

Thanks - I'll probably write something on this. But yes, I think we are living in one of the most dumbed down and conformist times ever!
