“Honey, I’m Home After my Killing Spree”: Resensitize, Recalibrate, Reclaim. A Call to Action.
Your Neighbour Mr Hyde, Who Enjoys Genocide
Resensitize: Back to the Beginning
Susan Abulhawa the prominent Palestinian writer and activist recently used the well-known analogy of the boiling frog when discussing the gradual desensitization of people to what is happening in Gaza. Wave upon wave of increasingly amplified horror, becomes solidified into a new norm, and just when we think that the worst has happened – there is a fresh atrocity.
Once upon a time bombing a hospital was seen as horrific. We quickly got to a point where “Israel” struck every hospital in Gaza, with 36 hospitals having been bombed and burned, healthcare workers repeatedly targeted, emergency workers sniped to the head and chest, killed and buried along with their ambulances; repeated raids on hospitals with the kidnap, rape and murder of doctors, the destruction of dialysis machines, blood transfusion units, and incubators containing newborn babies…
To emphasize, this is the new norm only in Gaza; nowhere else in the world is this readily accepted by so many people.
The boiling frog analogy is known to most of us – if you turn up the temperature gradually, the frog doesn’t realize it is being boiled alive; in Milgram’s seminal electric shock experiment, subjects were willing to go up to 450V – the lethal level – if done incrementally. We cannot allow our humanity to be eroded incrementally; we must wake up and pay attention.
The set of strategies employed by the genocidal entity are, together with Hasbara style propaganda, to keep their foot on the pedal of atrocity so that eventually all of the individual atrocities blend into one, so continuous are they. We become so desensitized to this that it no longer shocks. When a fresh, bigger horror, arrives fast on the tails of the last, we barely have time to register, we are so preoccupied with processing the last.
This has become the “accepted” norm for Gaza; but we cannot allow it to become a norm. We must re-sensitize ourselves.
He burned a child alive for fun.
She shot a child in the head casually.
He ran over a baby and its father repeatedly.
When we read even one of these sentences in isolation, we recoil in horror because they go beyond the pale.
(“Israel” is aware of this, hence why it fabricated so many lurid lies in the wake of October 7th, all of which have been debunked and yet are still trotted out by “Israeli” spokespeople).
Yet these incidents happen in Gaza every day, multiple times and on a mass scale. “IDF soldiers” – who are really indoctrinated, entitled and hateful young adults wilfully executing the murderous ideology of the Jewish supremacist entity, carry out these heinous actions – actions that we usually reserve the worst outrage and moral rebuke for – every day, often out of boredom and for kicks.

Recalibrate: Rehumanize the Palestinians
Our moral barometer of acceptability for Gaza is calibrated in the wrong way and we seriously need to question this. Crimes that would be considered staggeringly evil in isolation, are tolerated en masse when it is “Israel” inflicting them on Palestinians.
Crimes that are historically considered so heinous that their perpetrators make it into the annals of history, into the most bloody and gruesome of true crime records – Myra Hindley, Ted Bundy, Harold Shipman – are rightly abhorred. We should have the same standards for the criminals of “Israel”.
The crimes are too numerous to list and if they were, they would seem grotesquely surreal, a litany of the morally reprehensible, a roll call of cruelty that can barely be believed: shooting a young girl in a car with 355 bullets; burning a family alive in a refugee tent; raping to death an esteemed surgeon in a torture camp because he stood by his patients till the end.
We seem to have become numb to these atrocities, because “atrocity” has become the new standard for what we expect to see coming out of Gaza. A population of almost 2 million being starved and bombed, living in the burnt out remains of their homes, amidst rubble, and still seeing the last remains of their homes being demolished before them.
We need to recalibrate; when we wish for not a hair on the head of our own children to be harmed; when if we saw an adult push a child in the street, our sense of indignation and empathy would be awakened and inflamed; when if we heard that a child was starved for a day, we would be outraged – then we must be infuriated beyond reason, when we see children being sniped in the head and chest, shot and left to die on the rubble strewn streets; babies denied milk because aid is being blocked at the border by a population of sociopaths, where teenagers trample over baby formula while they laugh at Palestinian babies dying in incubators.
Recalibration is about rehumanizing Palestinians and seeing them in completely equal human terms to every other person. The mass killing of Palestinians enables more mass killing, because people become used to viewing them without individuality, and our threshold of acceptability becomes conditioned to be fed graphic images of Palestinians as if they are just anonymous dead bodies rather than living, breathing, real individuals with hopes, dreams and aspirations.
If you find this process difficult, imagine it being your own child. No child is more or less deserving of this horrific brutality than any other. In the same way that the Western media has put the holocaust onto a pedestal and breathed life into the children sent to concentration camps in the 1930s through their memorialization, Hollywood movies depicting them as individuals worthy of having their stories told – do not let yourself see Palestinian children any differently.
If an adult stole your kids football in the park, you’d be incensed; now imagine they murdered your child in cold blood before posing for pictures with their mates, holding that football in mocking glee.
You can whitewash it all you like, claim that these are just confused youngsters. Its funny, that - how the Palestinian teenagers held without trial in “Israel’s” torture camps (conveniently termed “prisons”) are often designated adults; while the adults like those posing happily in the photoshoot above, are termed children. These are fully grown adult men and women with a choice - and until they are held accountable, the scales of justice will be viciously skewed whilst morality will flounder and die.
Reclaim: Hunting the Hunters
They live next door to us; they rub shoulders with us on the train and tube; they walk past us in the street. They are that young man who was away from work on leave for a few months; that guy who has just returned home to his wife and kids and is enjoying a meal in your local Italian restaurant; the group of tourists enjoying drinks a few tables down from you.
It is a Jekyll and Hyde situation, and ironically enough, in that seminal masterpiece of literature by Robert Stevenson, Mr Hyde was first identified through his cruelty to a child. He lived in a typical upper class Victorian neighbourhood, camouflaged through his everyday persona of a respectable doctor, whilst by night he enacted the foulest of human impulses, mired in the dredges of human evil.
These are people who hunt children. Who target innocents. Who travel to a “war zone” where the people are trapped inside a killing cage and execute their instructions to kill, rape and maim. They rip apart lives, destroy family lines, leave children WCNSF (an acronym unique to Gaza: Wounded Child, No Surviving Family). And then they return to home in time to enjoy their family reunions or job promotions or engagements.
They live lives of normality and fulfilment after participating in acts that are truly worthy of the pall of darkness, acts that plumb the depths of depravity. The rapes, child maiming, shooting of people seeking a bag of flour for their families.
There is not only no way that these people can be trusted to be a part of the normal fabric of society after participating willingly in such acts; but there is also no way that you should allow them to.
While I am sure that there are refugees to the UK who may have committed crimes, do not let the misdirection or sleight of hand of the Zionist lobbies allow you to turn your gaze away from the perpetrators of real, mass war crimes and individual acts of terror.
Zionist “Israel” apologists have often been behind efforts to stoke racial hatred and cause divisions in communities along the lines of race and religion, pointing the finger towards the obvious outsiders while deflecting attention from the preponderance of Jewish supremacists and Zionists in the UK government, and whilst diverting our focus of attention from the real culprits who live normal lives in our public spaces and who revel in privilege and pleasure after desecrating dead bodies and blowing up homes in Gaza.
The ”IDF” members - who live and work in the UK, and who pose on social media with their rifles and combat gear, gloating over their victims and mocking the people that they have killed and injured - need to be rooted out by us.
They blend in a lot more than brown or black immigrants – but they are infinitely more pernicious and damaging to society, and they must be held accountable for their terrible crimes, just as any war criminal should be. This is how we reclaim our humanity.
We hunt them; but not using their methods, because we are not like them; this is a hunt of humanity that pursues justice and accountability. Every single one of these men and women needs to be named and brought to justice. Publish photos, name names, find their social media and root them out to be exposed in the full light of day; because if you do not, they will fester.
Shielded from accountability, a criminal only grows emboldened and hardened, a habitual killer wants more when the buzz of adrenaline dies down, and the fabric of a society is eroded beyond recognition when we allow them to walk with impunity among us and accept our government shielding these criminals. Therefore I invite you today to join the effort to hold war criminals and “IDF” accountable in any way you can.
Free Palestine from the River to the Sea and Dismantle the Genocidal Entity “Israel”
That photo of the IDF with the children’s possessions knowing they murdered and tortured them is an excellent example of the blood libel history of their people
I am in total opposition to Israel, period. I am also in total opposition to the regime that is in power in the U.S. The country has for all practical purposes been overthrown. I am 71 yo with my 15 you son on a strict budget. I live in fear and anger. I have my voice, but even that I must modulate. i can’t take a chance on arrest or disappearance. I see Gaza, I see the other places of atrocities yet I see more and more of us scared, We have passed the slippery slope and on our way dowg
