Any western organization dealing with any topic you ever can think of (feminism, human rights, environment, ...etc), is selfish. The only global in the western actions is looting and impoverishment of the rest of the world.
Yes I agree wholeheartedly. All these empty labels are just there to help perpetuate a system that pretends to uphold human rights but in fact is just a system of colonial looting.
Good for you for writing this, Sobia! I could not agree with you more! Take the Wicked Witches of the West such as Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Analena Baerbock, Ursula von der Leyen, Shaban Mahmood and Kemi Badenoch ((who should really know better), just for starters! I saw a very moving video of Palestinian men dancing and celebrating the first wedding in Gaza in 2 years, and what was among some women's comments? "Where are the women?" I share your anger and disgust at these Barbie dolls who claim to be so emancipated but have not one ounce of the strength, courage, dignity, humility and beauty of Palestinian women, like the widowed mother carrying her two young sons, both of whom lost one leg. https://dianeengelhardt.substack.com/p/i-will-carry-you.
Thank you Diane! Yes those witches are abominable, with their grovelling to the Zionist entity and their paying lip service to feminism whilst as usual, weaponising this for their own ends. As for these types of stupid comment, the racists always have some shit to spout - they suddenly care about ethnic women when they want to make a dumb point. Agree, and I wrote about this in my previous piece on Palestine and shitty Western "feminism" - those Palestinian and Middle Eastern women have more strength and dignity in their little finger than these stupid creatures with their token pink and homage to Barbie. Pathetic.
Yes, Western feminism is therefore like everything else from this "superior" part of the planet. A part I am increasingly ashamed of (its past and present behaviour). Grounded in its supposed superiority over those it colonises, abuses, steals from. I don't expect it to understand or empathise with the abused women.
Also, who are they to decide certain cultures and practices are oppression? It's all from the West's viewpoint.
Thank you John. I think that when ideologies arise from "superior" cultures they're about self-preservation often at the expense of others. This type of individualistic dog eat dog mentality is endemic in the Global North shall we call it, just as they disparagingly refer to the "global south". I am proud to be from the diametric opposite of this rapacious mindset. And yes, agree on the ethnocentric imposition of their limited perspectives.
Absolutely correct. I frame it that way for the purposes of the piece, but actually, totally agree. Even before I knew how to ever articulate why, I instinctively felt not only that it is just a hollow sham with little relevance to me, but that it is somehow inimical.
Yet after all the sneering remarks, these same women go out and pay fortunes to be made to look like the females they look down on. Swollen lips that ensure they can't talk properly, padded out butts whether by clothing or surgery 🤑 plus breast enlargements that sometimes go badly, or south 😉. Then there are their opposites who work hard to be so thin they look seriously ill.
Our bodies are made the way the are because of our ancestry. Sure, keep fit and healthy but don't over do it, and certainly don't try to force your body to fit a mold that it was never meant to be.
Then there are those who try to join a faith that, because of language differences, they will never understand the nuances of that language, especially in the native script, so mess that up by getting the creed terribly wrong - or they only joined to be able to use violence against someone - anyone would do, it's the being allowed to hurt and kill that appeals to that type, that allows their absolutely worst nature to rise to the surface. Problem is; can that which has surfaced be put back in the box?
Yes absolutely true. On the first count - not only do they frequently get cosmetic surgery and so on to be different to how they are ethnically, but they also go to countries further south in order to experience spiritual depth or freedom, and to experience cultures that are less rigid and more "passionate" or sensual, or emotionally expressive. The Northern European emotionally constipated nature which makes them all repressed and uptight, with notions of "politeness" that are in themselves often aggressive in nature - two faced social behaviour, double edged "compliments" and so on when they yearn to be authentic but can only do it by getting shitfaced - is quite a cultural issue.
As for the racist zionist white supremacy, this is the perfect bedfellow with colonial superiority - hopefully it can be stamped out in our lifetime but the issues of Palestine is instrumental because it is a key part of this whole colonial structure. Down with Zionism, down with Western "superiority".
Some guys definitely hold a misplaced yet strong sense of sexual entitlement. For example, I read a shocking article, headlined “‘Grave Sexual Abuse’: When the Word Rape Doesn’t Apply To Boys” [by Zahara Dawoodbhoy, 21 Sep 2020], about a South Asian nation/culture in which men have been raping boys with impunity. The boys dare not resist or complain.
There, girls’ vaginal virginity is traditionally/normally verified before an arranged marriage takes place. The ‘virginity’ of boys, however, seems to not be an issue, and therefore they cannot be sexually ‘spoiled’ or considered raped.
That is a very messed-up, indeed morally corrupt, perspective of and justification for the societally systematic rape of young boys!
.... ““I think there is a myth that it only happens to female children, and that has to do with the cultural aspect of people feeling that rape is a female-related issue,” Sonali Gunasekera, Senior Director of Advocacy at the Family Planning Association (FPA) told Roar Media. “That is probably why this archaic law is still in place — because that's how it was seen from afar.”
Despite this myth, the fact remains that instances where young boys are raped in Sri Lanka are surprisingly frequent. Director of the Child Protection Force, Milani Salpitikorala, says that 90% of her current cases involve young boys, and the idea that the boy child is somehow less susceptible to sexual abuse and rape in this country is completely false.
“Our mindsets are set in a culture of ‘Don’t worry about your child if he is a boy,’ but the boy child is as unsafe in the hands of perpetrators as much as the girl child is, if not more,” she said. ...””

Even here in the ‘enlightened’ West, male victims of sexual assault or rape are still more hesitant or unlikely than female victims to report their offenders. They refuse to open up and/or ask for help for fear of being perceived by peers and others as weak or non-masculine. A societal take-it-like-a-man attitude.
It could be the same mindset that may also help explain why the author of Childhood Disrupted included only one male among her six interviewed subjects, there likely having been such a small pool of ACE-traumatized males willing to formally tell his own story of traumatic childhood adversity, especially that of a sexual nature.
Men can take care of themselves, and boys are basically little men.
Excellent point, and I also wanted to cover the male rapes - although have done that elsewhere, and I wanted to link this with Western feminism. But I agree, it is often glossed over when it is men or boys, as if it isn't somehow equally traumatic. This is very sad. One of the Palestinians rape victims - a young male - ended his testimony by saying that he had intended to study and now he was just lost. And I know of cases of English men molested as young boys within the Church or by family friends, that ended up in a downward spiral of drug abuse and suicide. These incidents steal peoples lives from them, male or female, and are one of the worse violations imaginable. It's heartbreaking.

Anyone who understood feminism and its role as a tool of Western imperialism shouldn’t have believed in feminism enough to feel betrayed.
I don’t feel betrayed by feminism, simply glad that feminism has been exposed for the anti-Muslim/anti-humanity movement that it is.

I’m exactly the same way, especially with not knowing exactly how to articulate why I instinctively knew feminism is not right.
