Two cheers for this comment "Palestinians look upwards – to the divine, celestial, spiritual and elevated – while the “Israeli’s” in contrast, are tied to the lowly, base, ignoble and mean-spirited in life"

Thank you, again, for taking the time to write your insights and opinions with customary clarity, principled passion and outrage.

While the shocking amorality of the agents of the off-the-scale suffering of the Palestinians is of chief concern, and so conveyed by you, I believe you have also well articulated the crux of the matter. Civilized behaviour, or a lack thereof. Truly the plight of the Palestinians is both illustrative and judgement of what forms the substance beneath our societies and of our individual souls. This speaks to the civilations we form. Are we on the cusp of a watershed moment wherein we, as a species, demand better, or is this another incidence of business as usual in the timeline of a, in great measure, typically ignorant, indifferent and cruel world?

It cannot be ignored that the current atrocity makes obvious what each of us as individuals are composed of in our reaction to it.

Thanks Jay, and ditto - your humanity also shines through your words. It is about civilisation, what we cal civilisation and how we behave, whether in line with it or in opposition to it whilst covering this over. The plight of the Palestinians is the tragedy of our lifetimes, they have illustrated so much of importance but paid the price for all of us. Hopefully it may lead to some kind of momentous change, but I will never forget what they have had to undergo to teach us this - it will haunt me always.

👍👍👍 🔥🔥🔥 !!!

Until the elephant knows how to use a pen, it will always be the hunter who's glorified ...

Muslims look upwards and Zionists endulge in depravity ...

I haven't lived in a Zionist society (if we can even call it "society"...), but since almost 3 decades do in a North African, 100% Sunni Muslim one ...

What absolutely keeps astonishing me, is the sad fact that for most of them, virtually NOTHING is of any value ... The entire world is just a fly's dropping ...

They behave as if entirely disenfranchised from any responsibility or incentive for improvement of themselves and their environment/condition; completely passive, whatever happens, always expressing ... الله غالب

I do not believe, that this is rooted in genuine Islam, but in generational long oppression and brainwashing ... by the fake, indoctrinated Sheichs and Imams.

I don't know much about N.African society - but my comment was on Palestinians specifically, and I do believe that they are a very special people, different from other Arabs and also different from many Muslim societies. This isn't specifically about religion for me, but maybe about faith and innocence. I remember the esteemed Dr Tahir (Iraqi volunteer surgeon in Gaza) trying to articulate his experience of being around the Palestinians, and how their faith and purity inspired him.
